Democratic Innovations is a new (as of autumn 2010) standing group at the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR). The focus is on innovations that aim at deepening “thin” representative democracy and their impacts on communities, structures, systems, policies and democratic participation.
The membership of the Standing Group is growing and the members are junior and senior fellows, professors and PH.D. students. The membership is open to all interested colleagues, ranging from graduate students to established professors. Members can have a theoretical as well as an empirical focus.
